The Calo dairy products were officially launched in Shanghai. Distributors, clients and trade press reporters from China, Korea and Mongolia tasted and learned about the industrial applications of the products.
Watt’s marketing team in China and the Company’s General Manager, Rodolfo Véliz, described the characteristics and potential of the Calo dairy products, together with Watt’s vast experience and backing in Chile. Another speaker at the event was Alberto Cañas, Head of the Asia Pacific Department of the Chilean Export Promotion Entity, ProChile.
The launch took place at Shanghai’s Ambassy Club in the company of distributors and their clients from various Chinese, Korean and Mongolian cities. The retail and food trade press were also present.
The guests were able to taste Calo products which included cheeses and creams, Watt’s nectars and Watt’s jams which are already being sold in China. Furthermore, professional chefs gave a demonstration on the application of these products for industrial uses or in such preparations as pizzas and tacos.
Without any doubt, these products respond to the needs of the Chinese consumers who are showing a growing interest in healthy and nutritious foods such as those derived from dairy and fruit products.
