Watt’s is acknowledged for its proficiency in its exports

During the XXV Annual Meeting of "Asexma Chile", the Chilean Association of Exporters of Manufactured Goods and Services, Watts received the significant "Excellence in the Export of Manufactured Goods and Services" award.

Watt’s capability to export quality products to more than 30 countries including Asian markets such as China and Korea has not gone unnoticed by the exporters’ guild.

During the 25the Anniversary Celebration of Asexma held on November 10 at the Espacio Riesco, the General Manager of Watt’s, Rodolfo Véliz, received the award granted to the Company for “Excellence in the Export of Manufactured Goods and Services”.

Successful placement of Watt´s S.A. bond issue

The placement of USD 79 million in one series BWATTD arranged through LarrainVial achieved a rate of UF 4.25. The amount raised will be utilized to refinance company debt.


Yesterday Watt`s S.A.'s bond issue arranged by LarrainVial for two million Unidades de Fomento - an inflation-proof non-paper currency- (USD 79 million), was successfully placed. Demand for the bond was 2.2 times the offer. The bonds have a term of 7 years with capital amortizations commencing on June I, 2011 and were rated A by Feller Rate and FitchRatings.

The BWATT-D series was placed at a rate of UF + 4.25% representing a spread of 99 basis points over the BCU-5.

Watt's will make investments of over USD 20 million

The Company continues taking significant steps towards its growth target. With an investment of over USD 20 million, Watt's will construct a new drying tower and cheese plant in Osorno with leading edge technology.

 
This announcement was made by the General Manager of Watt's, Rodolfo Véliz, at an event for more than 100 milk producers in the city of Puerto Varas. The capital investment in these new installations falls within the company's plan to reach a figure close to USD 50 million in exports of dairy products.

These works will permit the company to continue with its growth strategy thanks to the preparation of products with a greater added value, which in turn, will open a new development scenario for the milk producers.
